Today it's Queen's Day in the Netherlands, an official holiday to honor the Queen's birthday. Since orange is the national color (stemming from the royal family's surname 'Van Oranje'), many people dress up in things orange. To give you an impression:

I'm not a fan of the royalties or anything, but I like to take part in the tradition. Just a little bit. :) Therefore I am going to wear the only orange thing I own (I don't like the color at all!), which is this shirt with orange buttons I recently thrifted:
What a cute tradition, even if I dislike orange color!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOrange is a detestable colour, I never understood why Dutch people would wear it, even though it's their national colour. You made the best of it, the shirt looks really nice!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLeuk shirtje!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHaha, it is a horrible colour indeed and I don't think many people like it, it's a fun tradition. Maybe even more so because it looks so ridiculous. :D
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFufufu, traditions~
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBut that shirt does look cute!
The only redeemable quality of the color orange is that it happens to be the color of pumpkins...
