Weekend break

Last weekend I went to Limburg (a province in the south of the Netherlands) for a couple of days with my boyfriend's family. We had a great time visiting historic sites and enjoying the landscape. This is the only part of the country where they have decent hills and therefore I always feel like I am abroad when I'm there. I'm not going to describe the trip in detail, but I'd lik to share some pictures:

Spring time

Finally the view from my window is getting a lot more interesting, with Spring colors dominating the (public) backyard. Since I'm spending a lot of time at home, it means a great deal to me! Having no garden of my own is something I really miss and this compensates for it somewhat.

Nature

Last weekend I was at my family’s in Zeeland (southern province of the Netherlands) and we went for a walk, like we often do. Nature hasn’t caught up here yet after a late winter and the trees are still without leaves. Although the landscape in Zeeland is often said to be quite boring (except for the beaches), I do think it has a beauty of its own.
